Teaching job in America is an attractive proposal but there are some hurdles to cross for a non American. Apart from the very much needed work visa prospective non-American teachers have to pass PRAXIS. The Praxis tests are subject assessments conducted by the Educational Testing Service (ETS). Most states in USA have made the Praxis tests mandatory for licensing and certification process. There are many organizations and recruiting agencies offering to tutor the candidates to pass this test. There is a fee to be paid to the government and tests to be taken in the subjects the candidate plans to teach.
